Manchester/IBNS, July 24 -- In a bold move, India's vice-captain Rishabh Pant, who sustained an injury on his right foot, won't keep wickets but bat in the remainder of the ongoing fourth Test against England in Manchester.
Pant, who suffered the injury on Wednesday, will bat as per the team's requirements.
He will be replaced by Dhruv Jurel as the wicketkeeper on the field in Manchester.
On day one of the match, the flamboyant cricketer suffered the foot injury when he took a wild risk of reverse sweeping Chris Woakes while batting at 37 off 48 balls.
Pant left the field in a vehicle visibly suffering from pain.
England are leading the five-match series 2-1.
