India, Oct. 22 -- An IndiGo flight from Kolkata to Srinagar made an emergency landing at the Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, on Wednesday following reports of a fuel leak, media reports said.

All 166 passengers and crew members on board were safely evacuated, and no injuries were reported.

Flight 6E 6961, operating on the Kolkata-Srinagar route, made a precautionary landing after a suspected technical issue was detected mid-air.

"At IndiGo, the safety of our passengers, crew, and aircraft is our top priority. We appreciate our customers' patience and cooperation as our teams work to minimize any inconvenience," the airline added.
