New Delhi, Dec. 12 -- The Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) will challenge the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019, which has been passed by Parliament and is awaiting the President's ascent to become a law, in the Supreme Court.

Congress veteran and Rajya Sabha MP, Kapil Sibal, will represent the IUML, a state party in Kerala, in the court.The IUML had put up a tweet, "IUML Leaders meeting Senior Supreme Court Advocate and Veteran Congress Leader Shri. @KapilSibal in connection with party's move to challenge the Citizenship Amendment Bill in the Supreme Court."The CAB was passed by the Rajya Sabha with 125 votes in favour of it on Wednesday amid the heated debate over the bill throughout the day. 99 MPs had voted against th...
