India, April 2 -- The Indian Army shot down four to five infiltrators after Pakistani Army personnel intruded into Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district on Tuesday, media reports said.
The intrusion violated the ceasefire agreement between the two nations, sources told India Today.
The Army said the infiltration attempt in the Krishna Ghati area of the Poonch district was successfully foiled, the news channel reported.
The Indian Army personnel retaliated after Pakistani soldiers and infiltrators opened fire targeting them.
According to reports, no loss of life or damage to property was announced on the Indian side.
