India, Jan. 9 -- Under the Timetable of Trains (TAG) 2026, Indian Railways has rolled out a wide-ranging network upgrade, introducing new trains, extending existing services, increasing frequencies, converting select services into Superfast trains and significantly reducing travel times across railway zones.

Zone-wise highlights

In the Central Railway (CR) zone, four new trains were introduced, six services extended and 30 trains speeded up.

The East Coast Railway (ECOR) saw four new trains added, four services extended and three trains speeded up.
