India, July 2 -- Indian PM Narendra Modi on Wednesday said India and Brazil will discuss ways to advance the priorities of the Global South.

Modi will attend BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro on July 6-July 7.

Modi said India remained committed to BRICS.

The BRICS is a group formed by eleven countries: Brasil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Ethiopia, Indonesia, and Iran.

In his pre-departure statement, Modi said: "I will attend the BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro on 6-7 July. As a founding member, India is committed to BRICS as a vital platform for cooperation among emerging economies. Together, we strive for a more peaceful, equitable, just, democratic and balanced multipolar world order."...
