New Delhi, March 28 -- The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved nutrient-based subsidy (NBS) rates for phosphatic and potassic (P&K) fertilisers for the Kharif 2025 season, covering April 1 to September 30.
The decision aims to keep essential fertilisers affordable for farmers while ensuring a steady supply.
Additionally, the existing freight subsidy on single super phosphate (SSP) has been extended.
The move supports balanced nutrient application, contributing to soil health and improved agricultural yields.
