New Delhi, April 20 -- India's automobile exports rose 19% year-on-year in the 2024-25 fiscal, reaching 53.63 lakh units (53,63,089), up from 45 lakh units (45,00,494) in FY24.

The surge was fuelled by strong overseas demand for passenger vehicles, two-wheelers, and commercial vehicles, according to data released by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).

Passenger vehicle exports hit record high

Passenger vehicle shipments grew 15% to 7,70,364 units in FY25, compared to 6,72,105 units in the previous fiscal.
