Chandigarh/IBNS, May 8 -- A complete night-time blackout will be imposed on the Punjab district of Gurdaspur from Thursday in the wake of the escalation of India-Pakistan conflict after Operation Sindoor, media reports said.

Gurdaspur will remain under night-time blackout from 9 pm to 5 am daily until further notice.

The Gurdaspur administration has requested all residents and commercial establishments to follow the orders strictly.

A historic city, Gurdaspur is located in the Majha region of Punjab, India, nestled between the Beas and Ravi rivers.

It serves as the administrative headquarters of Gurdaspur district and lies near the India-Pakistan border.
