New Delhi, April 9 -- India has proposed the sale of its indigenously developed Akash air defence missile system to the United Arab Emirates, as both countries agreed to expand their defence cooperation, media reports said.
The discussions spanned a broad range of areas including military exercises, training programmes, joint defence-industrial projects, research and development, and technology transfer, said a Times of India report.
The offer was made during delegation-level talks between Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Dubai Crown Prince and UAE Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is currently on a visit to India.
