Sambalpur (Odisha), April 20 -- P K Mishra, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, on Saturday stressed the urgency of creating 8 to 10 million jobs annually in India, media reports said.

Addressing students at the 9th convocation of IIM Sambalpur, he said this demand for employment is being tackled through government initiatives like Digital India and Skill India, Indian Express reported.

While affirming India's strong position on the global stage, Mishra cautioned that the world is dealing with complex and shifting dynamics.

He cited disruptions in global supply chains, protectionist measures, evolving trade patterns and intensified geopolitical tensions as major challenges.
