India, Sept. 28 -- The Indian government recently launched a series of transformative initiatives by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and creating a future-ready, globally competitive logistics ecosystem in the country.

Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal unveiled the measures on September 20, marking 10 years of the "Make in India" campaign.

According to the Ministry, the plans will help assess existing logistics infrastructure, identify gaps, and provide a roadmap for reducing costs and improving efficiency. The exercise will later be expanded nationwide.
