India, Feb. 14 -- Indian PM Narendra Modi on Friday met US President Donald Trump in the White House when he referred to the ongoing Ukraine-Russia conflict and said India is not a neutral country and it stands on the side of peace on the issue of conflict.
"India is not neutral. India is on the side of peace,' Modi was quoted as saying by the media.
He said solutions could not be found on the battlefield.
He said India supports Trump's initiatives to end war.
The meeting between the two world leaders occurred at a time when US President Donald Trump Thursday announced sweeping "reciprocal tariffs" which would impact both allies and competitors.
