India, July 1 -- India organised a five-day 'Jaipur Foot' camp recently as part of the humanitarian assistance to provide free prosthetic limbs to Afghan amputees, media reports said.
The camp was held in Afghanistan's capital city, Kabul.
The camp was initiated with the aim of helping Afghan citizens with disabilities regain mobility and independence.
MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal wrote on X: "As part of India's ongoing humanitarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan, a five-day Jaipur Foot camp was organised in Kabul by BMVSS, Jaipur."
He said the camp saw an 'enthusiastic response' with around 75 prosthetic limbs successfully fitted as part of the initiative.
