New Delhi/IBNS, Nov. 1 -- India's flagship real time payment system Unified Payment Interface (UPI) has recorded 20.70 billion transactions in October, in a big jump from 19.63 billion which was registered in September, media reports said.
Earlier in September, the amount was Rs. 24.90 lakh. In August, the transactions were valued at Rs. 24.85 lakh.
Annually, the transaction count has shot up by 25 percent while the transaction value has soared by 16 percent.
In a separate record, October 18 recorded the highest ever daily count with 754.37 million transactions.
