India, Nov. 21 -- India has handed over a 3.5-tonne consignment of essential medicines to Seychelles, officials said on Friday.

The Indian Embassy in Seychelles said in a post on X that High Commissioner Rohit Rathish formally handed the consignment to Health Minister Dr. Marvin Fanny in the presence of President Dr. Patrick Herminie.

"The consignment of 3.5 tonnes includes medicines for cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, gastrointestinal ailments, vitamins and supplements," the Embassy said.

"This donation reaffirms India's commitment to support Seychelles in its development priorities," it added.
