India, April 15 -- India and Sri Lanka would support nine joint research projects to be taken up by scientists of the two countries, news website ColomboPage reported.

The Indian Ministry of Science and Technology announced on Wednesday that Food Technology, Plant Base Medicines, Metrology, Space Research and Applications, Robotics and Automation as also Industrial Electronics would be among the research areas.

Other research domains were Renewable Energy, Waste Management, Information and Communication Technology.
