Johannesburg/IBNS, Nov. 23 -- India, Australia, and Canada officially launched a new trilateral technology and innovation partnership, named the Australia-Canada-India Technology and Innovation Partnership (ACITI), aimed at enhancing cooperation in critical minerals, clean energy, and artificial intelligence (AI).

The announcement came on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Johannesburg, South Africa, where the three prime ministers-Narendra Modi of India, Anthony Albanese of Australia, and Mark Carney of Canada-met to discuss and formalise the partnership.

The three sides agreed to strengthen their ambition in cooperation on critical and emerging technologies, to complement existing bilateral initiatives.
