Srinagar, Jan. 30 -- Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who reached Srinagar for the last leg of his Bharat Jodo Yatra, on Monday said he was warned that he may be attacked in Kashmir, but people here gave him love.

Addressing a rally at Sher-e-Kashmir cricket stadium in Srinagar on the conclusion of the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Rahul said security people had told him to go to Kashmir in a vehicle and not on foot as they were suspecting a grenade attack at the rally.

"My family taught me, and (Mahatama) Gandhi ji taught me to live fearlessly, otherwise, that is not living. But it happened just as I expected, the people of Jammu and Kashmir didn't give me a hand grenade but only love and hugs with open heart," the former Congress chief said.
