Kolkata/IBNS, June 17 -- West Bengal Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari on Tuesday lashed out at Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over the massive fire that gutted 1,300 shops at the Orphan Ganj Bazar in Kolkata's Khidirpur area.
Adhikari, a top Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader in the state, accused the Chief Minister of planning to shift the traders to a new place and allow the private investors to build shopping malls in the area.
Adhikari, who visited the site with his party colleagues Arjun Singh, Shankudeb Panda, offered full support to the traders who have camped in the market refusing to move to any other location.
