Dhaka/IBNS, Dec. 19 -- Amid escalating unrest and nationwide protests following the death of prominent youth activist Sharif Osman Hadi, a Hindu man was brutally lynched by a mob in Bangladesh's Mymensingh district, police and local media reports said.
According to reports citing BBC Bangla and carried by Indian media, the victim has been identified as Dipu Chandra Das, a garment factory worker and resident of Bhaluka Upazila. He was allegedly beaten to death late Thursday after a crowd accused him of making derogatory remarks about Islam.
