India, Jan. 5 -- In another incident highlighting violence against minorities in Bangladesh, a 45-year-old Hindu factory owner and acting editor of a local newspaper was shot dead by unidentified assailants, media reports said.
The victim, identified as Rana Pratap, was reportedly attacked by a group of men who shot him in the head, according to local media. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
An investigation is currently underway, and authorities have not yet made any arrests.
Pratap's killing comes amid a spate of attacks targeting members of the Hindu community in Bangladesh.
