India, Oct. 15 -- Hamas gunmen publicly executed at least seven people in Gaza this week, even as a new ceasefire agreement with Israel took effect and led to the release of all 20 living Israeli hostages, according to local reports and sources cited by The Times of Israel.

Sources in the enclave said Hamas has killed at least 33 people since the truce began on Friday, as part of a crackdown on rival groups challenging its control.

The executions reportedly took place in Gaza City, where fighters were seen dragging several individuals into a crowd before shooting them from behind.

A graphic video of the incident - showing seven to eight people being executed - has circulated widely on social media.
