Ujjain/IBNS, June 14 -- The brother of Sonam Raghuvanshi, who is accused of killing her husband Raja Raghuvanshi during honeymoon in Meghalaya, attended the victim's 'pind daan' in Ujjain on Friday, media reports said.

Govind said he had come for the 'pind daan' with Raja's family and the pundit (priest) had let him perform the ritual.

Speaking of Sonam's extra-marital affair with Raj Kushwaha, who is one of the involved in the murder case, said he would have let his sister run with her lover had he knowledge of it.

Sonam and her boyfriend Raj Kushwaha planned to kill Raja in the jungles of the northeastern state, the probe officials said.
