India, Oct. 14 -- After weeks of tense negotiations and internal bickering, Bihar's Grand Alliance has finally reached a seat-sharing formula involving modest compromises by both Lalu Prasad Yadav's Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the Congress, NDTV reported, quoting sources.

The RJD, which had initially sought 144 of the state's 243 Assembly seats, will now contest 135, while the Congress, which was eyeing 70 seats, has settled for 61.

The remaining seats will go to the Left Front and Mukesh Sahani's Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP), sources told NDTV.

While Tejashwi's leadership has now been accepted by all partners, there is no clarity yet on whether he will have any deputy chief ministers, sources told NDTV.
