New Delhi, March 23 -- The Central government is planning to conduct another auction for lithium reserves in Jammu and Kashmir as part of a third round, media reported citing sources.

The decision for this re-auction comes after the government received only two bids in the initial round, as per a source aware of the development, Reuters reported.

A total of seven critical mineral blocks are being put up for auction as composite license in this third Tranche, the government had said earlier this month in a statement.

The last day for submission of bids is May 14, the statement said.
