Mumbai, July 27 -- A woman in Navi Mumbai drove her car into a ditch on Friday morning after blindly following directions from Google Maps.
The mishap occurred while she was travelling from Belapur to Ulwe.
Personnel from the marine security unit, who witnessed the incident, swiftly pulled her out as she was seen floating.
This isn't an isolated case of misnavigation by Google Maps.
In another instance, a group of tourists from Hyderabad drove into a swollen stream in Kerala while relying on the app for navigation.
Officials said the road had been submerged due to heavy rain, and the unfamiliar tourists continued ahead, unknowingly entering the water.
Fortunately, all four made it out safely.
