Guwahati/IBNS, May 29 -- Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday alleged Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi maintained a proximity with the Pakistani establishment and threatened to back his claims on September 10.
Sarma said he would make proofs against Gogoi and his British wife Elizabeth public once a Special Investigation Team (SIT) completes its investigation.
Gogoi, who is set to take over as the Assam Congress president, rebutted the charges and claimed he visited Pakistan in 2013 with his wife who was employed in the neighbouring country on a climate change project.
He even asked why had not the central government acted against him over the last 11 years.
