India, March 22 -- The Indian government has expressed concerns over the hospitality extended to fugitive preacher Zakir Naik during his recent stay in Pakistan.
According to Pakistani media reports, Naik met former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz at their residence in Raiwind.
Reacting to his visit to Pakistan and the treatment he received in the neighbouring nation, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said: "This is not the first time that he has been treated in Pakistan."
"It shows the kind of approach his hosts have and what it means for us, and what it means in terms of giving so much of support to a person who is wanted here," he said.
