Srinagar/Delhi/IBNS, Nov. 12 -- In mid-October, Srinagar witnessed what initially seemed like a minor incident-Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) posters threatening attacks on security forces appeared overnight in Nowgam.
Though such posters were once common before 2019, their sudden re-emergence raised immediate concern for Dr G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Srinagar.
A 2014-batch IPS officer known for his tactical precision, Dr Chakravarthy didn't take the incident lightly.
His instincts told him it was more than propaganda.
Having earlier led the J&K Police's role in Operation Mahadev, which neutralised the three Pahalgam attackers, he was well aware of how small leads can uncover major threats.
