Kolkata/IBNS, Feb. 16 -- A blazing half-century by Will Jacks powered England to post a challenging target of 203 against Italy in their Group C clash of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Monday.
Jacks remained unbeaten on 53 off just 22 balls, helping England recover from a precarious 105/5.
For Italy, Crishan Kalugamage was the standout performer with the ball, claiming 2 wickets for 41 runs, including the dismissal of Curran, who scored 25.
Overton, who played an aggressive cameo, was eventually dismissed by Grant Stewart, who finished with figures of 2/51.
