India, Aug. 24 -- Indian-origin truck driver Harjinder Singh, who was recently arrested over a deadly Florida road crash, has been denied bail by a US court, media reports said.

He will continue to remain in prison while the court case against him continues.

Florida judge Lauren Sweet denied bond to Singh on Saturday morning, telling him through an interpreter that he was considered to be an unauthorized alien and a substantial flight risk, reported Fox35 Orlando.

Sharing details about the incident, St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office's wrote on Facebook: "He appeared before the Honorable Judge Lauren Sweet in the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit of Florida."
