Mumbai/IBNS, Feb. 21 -- Bollywood filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan has landed herself in legal trouble after an FIR was filed against her for allegedly making derogatory remarks about the Hindu festival of Holi.

The complaint was lodged by Vikash Fhatak, popularly known as Hindustani Bhau, through his lawyer Advocate Ali Kaashif Khan Deshmukh at Khar Police Station in Mumbai.

The term "chhapri" is widely considered derogatory, and Khan's remark triggered a major backlash.

Critics have accused her of disrespecting the Hindu festival.

The complaint states that Farah's comment not only offended Hindustani Bhau's personal religious sentiments but also that of the larger Hindu community.
