India, Sept. 12 -- The FBI on Thursday released two photos of a "person of interest" related to the shooting of Charlie Kirk as investigators appealed to the public for information, media reports said.

The agency declared that it found the "high-powered" rifle used in the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk, a conservative activist and close ally of US President Donald Trump.

The sniper who killed the 31-year-old jumped off the roof and fled after firing the shot.

Utah DPS Commissioner Beau Mason informed the media that the suspect "appears to be of college age". He also said that the police have images of the suspect.
