India, Nov. 1 -- The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said on Friday it has foiled a possible terrorist attack in Michigan and arrested several suspects who were allegedly planning to strike during the Halloween weekend.

FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed the development in a post on X, commending law enforcement agencies for their swift response.

"This morning, the FBI thwarted a potential terrorist attack and arrested multiple subjects in Michigan who were allegedly plotting a violent attack over Halloween weekend. More details to come," Patel wrote.

He added, "Thanks to the men and women of the FBI and law enforcement everywhere standing guard 24/7 and carrying out our mission to defend the homeland."
