New Delhi/IBNS, May 7 -- Former UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on Wednesday supported India over Operation Sindoor, a targeted military strike on nine terror camps across Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK) to avenge the Pahalgam terror attack.

Sunak said India is "justified" in striking terrorist infrastructure.

"No nation should have to accept terrorist attacks being launched against it from land controlled by another country. There can be no impunity for terrorists," the former UK PM wrote in a post on X.

Sunak earlier had condemned the "barbaric" attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam in which 26 civilians were killed. He also affirmed that the UK stands in solidarity with India.
