Manchester/IBNS, July 26 -- Joe Root's 38th hundred powered England to establish an absolute dominance over India on the third day of the fourth Test in Manchester on Friday.
Root slammed 150 off 248 balls (14 fours) to become the second highest Test run scorer, standing only behind cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.
On a day where not much was there to speak of India's bowling, allrounder Ravindra Jadeja picked two wickets including the vital one of Root.
Trailing England 1-2 in the five-match series, India were bowled out for 358 in the first innings.
Losing in Manchester is an absolute non-negotiable for India as that would deny them a chance to even square the series.
