India, May 26 -- The Kremlin on Monday reacted to US President Donald Trump's remark, where he claimed his Russian counterpart has 'gone crazy', and said it was perhaps due to an emotional overdose that he made such a comment.

Vladimir Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov was quoted as saying by BBC: "Of course, the start of the negotiation process, for which the American side made a lot of effort, is a very important achievement and we are truly grateful to the Americans and personally to President Trump for their help in organising and launching this negotiation process."
