Mumbai/IBNS, July 15 -- Billionaire Elon Musk-led American multinational automotive and clean energy company Tesla's first electric car showroom in India was launched in the country's financial capital, Mumbai, on Tuesday.
The showroom, which is located at Maker Maxity Mall in Mumbai's Bandra-Kurla Complex, was inaugurated by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
The showroom will provide Tesla's main display and customer experience centre.
The company has officially ventured into the Indian car market, which is dominated by manufacturers like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, with the launch of its Model Y EV starting at Rs. 60 lakh.
