Kolkata/IBNS, Jan. 8 -- The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday conducted raids at the office of political consultancy firm IPAC and the residence of its head, Pratik Jain, in connection with the coal smuggling case, media reports said.
IPAC is known to provide political consultancy services to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress (TMC).
Within hours of the raids, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee rushed to Jain's Loudon Street residence, where she was seen collecting some files.
Speaking to reporters while leaving the premises, Banerjee launched a sharp attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing it of misusing central probe agencies to target her party.
