India, Jan. 5 -- Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami and his brother Mohammed Kaif have been issued notices by the Election Commission to appear for a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) hearing in Kolkata, officials confirmed on Monday.

The notice was issued from Kartju Nagar School in the Jadavpur area of south Kolkata. Shami is registered as a voter in Kolkata Municipal Corporation Ward No. 93, which falls under the Rashbehari Assembly constituency.

His hearing has been scheduled between January 9 and 11.

Shami was unable to attend the initial hearing on Monday as he is currently in Rajkot, representing Bengal in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
