Dubai, June 14 -- Authorities in Dubai successfully contained a massive fire that erupted late Friday night in a 67-storey residential tower in the Marina area, Khaleej Times reported.

The Dubai Media Office (DMO) confirmed that firefighters worked continuously for six hours to bring the blaze under control at Marina Pinnacle, also known as Tiger Tower.

The DMO, in a 2.21am update on Saturday, praised the efficient evacuation efforts and confirmed that emergency protocols were effectively followed.

Authorities are now working with the tower's developer to provide temporary housing for the displaced residents, emphasising that the safety and well-being of those affected remains a top priority.
