India, Sept. 12 -- Police have arrested a person in connection with the murder of US President Donald Trump's close aide and conservative activist Charlie Kirk, media reports said.
The confirmation about the arrest was made by Donald Trump.
He told Fox News: "I think with a high-degree of certainty, we have him."
He said: "Essentially, someone who knew him turned him in."
However, Trump did not reveal the identity of the suspect who had been arrested.
Trump expressed his hope that the suspect gets the death penalty if he is found guilty.
"We have the person that we think is the person we're looking for, but they drove into the police headquarters, and he's there now," Trump told the news channel.
