India, Sept. 25 -- Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh has secured a landmark nomination at the International Emmy Awards 2025 for Best Performance by an Actor, marking a major international milestone in his career.

The recognition comes for Dosanjh's acclaimed performance as the late Punjabi folk icon in Imtiaz Ali's Netflix biographical drama Amar Singh Chamkila.

His portrayal has been praised for authentically capturing Chamkila's charisma, energy, and vulnerability.

Notably, Amar Singh Chamkila has also received a nomination in the Best TV Movie/Mini-Series category, further cementing its global impact.
