New York/IBNS, Nov. 4 -- Palestinian-American activist Linda Sarsour has claimed that the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) - currently under congressional scrutiny for alleged links to Hamas - played a key role in funding Democrat Zohran Mamdani's campaign for the upcoming New York City mayoral election.

Mamdani, widely regarded as the frontrunner in the race, will learn his fate when results are announced on November 4.

According to a report in The New York Post, Sarsour, who has long served as a political mentor and ally to Mamdani, boasted that both she and the Hamas-linked nonprofit helped propel his political rise.
