India, Dec. 14 -- At least three dozen vehicles, including trucks and buses, were involved in a massive pile-up on a highway in Haryana's Rohtak on Sunday after dense fog reduced visibility to near zero, media reports said.

Several drivers and passengers were injured, while many vehicles were left badly damaged.

Police said a collision between a truck and a car triggered a chain reaction, with multiple vehicles crashing into one another within seconds.

The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals as police and district administration officials carried out rescue and relief operations.

Two other fog-related accidents were reported from Hisar and Rewari districts.
