Panaji, Feb. 23 -- A tourist from Delhi has been arrested in Goa and charged with murder after allegedly running over a woman in Mandrem following a heated dispute over a pet dog, media reports said.

This led to an argument that soon turned violent.

Shortly after, Deepak Batra, one of the tourists, allegedly ran over Fernandes at high speed, dragging her body for about 10 metres.

Her son, Joseph, sustained a shoulder injury while trying to save her.

Goa Police have registered a case against Deepak Batra, charging him with murder.
