New Delhi, July 6 -- In a breakthrough after years of pursuit, the Delhi Police Crime Branch on Sunday arrested Ajay Lamba, a suspected serial killer believed to be behind a string of murders targeting cab drivers across Delhi and Uttarakhand.
He was apprehended near India Gate, ending more than a decade of evasion.
The gang would then smuggle the stolen vehicles across the border into Nepal, where they were sold.
So far, authorities have recovered one body, while remains of at least three more victims are yet to be located.
Investigators suspect the gang may be linked to the disappearances of several other drivers over the years.
