Mumbai/IBNS, Jan. 5 -- Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone marked her 40th birthday on Monday by announcing her "passion project" OnSet, an initiative aimed at providing a platform for aspiring technicians seeking to build careers in Indian film, television and advertising.

The programme, Deepika said, will offer young talent an opportunity to "work with or create with the best in the business".

Deepika, who has headlined several Bollywood blockbusters over nearly two decades, expanded her professional footprint beyond cinema years ago with the launch of The Live Love Laugh Foundation, which focuses on mental health awareness.

She later ventured into entrepreneurship with the launch of her luxury skincare brand 82degE.
