Washington DC/IBNS, March 7 -- Days after the spat with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Donald Trump Friday said he's considering "large-scale" sanctions and tariffs against Russia until it reaches a ceasefire and peace agreement with Ukraine.

The statement comes after a wave of strikes in Ukraine on Thursday night.

"Based on the fact that Russia is absolutely 'pounding' Ukraine on the battlefield right now, I am strongly considering large scale Banking Sanctions, Sanctions, and Tariffs on Russia until a Cease Fire and FINAL SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT ON PEACE IS REACHED.
